I'm a 25-year-old self-taught Russian-American artist, writer and manga creator. I was born and raised in Oklahoma, where I still live.Even before I could read I was transfixed with telling stories; stapling drawings together and dictating the narrative to my father. Throughout my childhood I experimented with various creative ventures: Art, Lego stop-motion, video games and prose fiction.After dropping art in favor of writing I picked it back up late 2018, when I decided that I wanted to make graphic novels and comics. From then until now, I've worked to hone my skills, using how-to books, Youtube videos, and by making careful copies of artwork I admired.I always have at least dozen stories and projects on the back burner at any given moment

Master studies are 1:1 recreations of other artist's works (though in some cases I did add my own touches or tried recreating the art in another medium). The purpose of this is to learn the techniques used by masters of the craft, as well as training the skill of observationThese are all drawn without tracing. The only exception is if I'm really struggling with something, I'll trace it with asperate sheet and then redraw it again freehand (this last part is key)Doing studies like this has been one of my primary way of learning to draw
